Rose, Shamrock, Thistle and Daffodil Flowers

The four nations of Great Britain have their patron saints and flowers associated with them. These has historical or cultural interpretation following periods of war, peace, enlightenment, etc.

Rose flower and St George are symbols of England

Shamrock flower and St Patrick are synonymous with Northern Ireland

Thistle flower and St Andrew represents Scotland
Daffodil flower and St David are symbols of Wales

They are all pretty.
We have those thistles down here in the highlands and other farming areas usually but most farmer's pull them out.
